decollage

The basis of the decollage works are
used indian Advertising commercials
which are printed on flex.

After taking them off the Billboards,
5 layers get stitched one on top of the other to a multilayered unity.

By cutting and ripping I removed parts of the different Layers to uncover my motifs.

They expose the complexity of the
Human being and his psyche.

On my search for suitable forms and
colors I react spontaneously to the
motifs depicted on each single layer.

light boxes

The light boxes show images
I collected during several
travels throughout India
in the last 3 years.

I went for high-contrast copies and got them printed on silver reflection backlight paper fixed on semitransparent acrylic.

After this I worked out the
shines through contours.
This way the motifs get their profoundness and their radiance.

During the exhibition the visitor will become a part of the work by realizing his own reflection in the light boxes.
